What is Phở?

Phở, pronounced “fuh,” is Vietnamese most popular comfort food that is normally made with a bone-beef broth, banh pho noodles, and thinly sliced beef, that’s often served with bean sprouts and other fresh herbs on the side. Not to be confused with Japanese ramen, which is usually made with wheat noodles, pho is made with rice noodles.

It is important to note that there are many variations of pho. The most common is pho Nam, which originates in Southern Vietnam, and pho Bac, which is from Northern Vietnam and considered to be the original pho.

With the migration of Vietnamese across the globe after the Fall of Saigon in 1975, the national dish of Vietnam came to grace the tables of people of different heritages.

It has captured the fascination of so many people in the West because of its deceptive simplicity and its complex flavors.

BEST VIETNAMESE FOOD IN TOWN. I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS PLACE. The staff is friendly and helpful, wanting to get to know their regulars well. Food is AMAZING. I have not had a bad meal here yet. Top three for me include Pho (duh), shaking beef, and broken rice with pork plate. It is a delight to the taste buds to eat here. They also have pretty awesome boba too! They recently went under new management but the quality of the food has remained excellent and the flavors have gone from delicious to delicious. I will always recommend Pho Hot to any visitors in town.

First time here. Seems to be very busy at lunch which is a good thing! It did seem that they were lacking in waiter staff so it was slow getting an order in and getting food. I ordered Pho chicken soup. It tasted good but I think the broth was beef instead of chicken. I prefer them to use chicken broth. Will definitely try again.

Really good pho, full of flavor and for the price you get, a huge serving! I’ve also had the Pad Thai here and it was really tasty! Definitely recommend, best Thai in Tyler!

I came here last weekend after picking up my son from PineCove camp.  The pho is legit!  The broth tasted so fresh and amazing!  The staff/owners were pleasant and friendly.  This will be our destination every year when we drop off and pick up my son from camp!

First time for me here, wife’s second. I had beef soup and it was what I expected. I have had Pho before and this is a good Vietnamese restaurant. My wife had grilled beef with rice noodles. She was pleased. Prices are reasonable and service is good. No complaints.

Their pho here is pretty damn great. I got the P1 which is the combination pho and it’s really really good. I go to Dallas for pho pretty regularly and this definitely can stand with the restaurants in Dallas.

Their vermicelli bowls are pretty great as well, love the way they char their grilled pork.

Viet coffee…A-1. It’s not too super sweet but just right, and the coffee is pretty great, it isn’t super bitter either which is great.

Definitely a must try!

I love coming here with my mom! We both love Asian food and it’s so authentic here. Our favorite is the pork potstickers!! Every time we get a new dish to try something new and we love it! The staff gives you hints at how to eat the dish or what sauce goes best and makes the experience so much more enjoyable! Highly recommend!
